Massive Taxi And Private Hire Drivers Personal Details Data Breach.

WHY ARE YOUR DETAILS ON THIS SITE?

A company is advertising over social media for drivers from both the Taxi and Private Hire trades to sign up to a new app.

This will then give them the ability to access full personal details of virtually every Taxi and Private Hire driver registered with TfL. It also says it holds information on every Taxi and Private Hire driver in the UK. 

• Detail include Full name
• Telephone number
• Full address
• Post code 
• Email address
• Facebook page

And any website they may be connected to. 

How has this company get this massive amount of data?

Where has this company acquired this information from??

 Is TfL responsible for the leak of London Taxi and Private Hire details???

Is this a major data breach in the data protection act 2018????

This situation needs immediate action from our trade representative organisations, and must also be reported to the authorities 

This is not the first time all our data has been compromised. A couple of years ago, Taxi drivers personal addresses were being targeted in a phishing campaign. The data acquired was believed at that time to have come from within TfLTPH. 

The incident was investigated and the phishing stopped, but the outcome of the official investigation was never published. 

It appears that the company involved this time, has been in possession of our detailed since 15/10/2018. 

Drivers on social media are worried about their details being made public in this way. What other information does this company hold on us. Could they also be in possession of our full medical history, or even our past and present CRB/DBS data???
Perhaps even details of payments made by debit and credit cards including long number, expiry date and security digits????

Taxi leaks made extensive checks late last night and we found most drivers known to us are on this data base including all trade representatives such as Steve McNamara.... with just a few exceptions

We at Taxi Leaks believe this websites author has connections with a certain American app. You know the one that says they are not a transport company but a  Technology company. 

The give away is in the extensive use of the # precursor to drivers badge numbers. Not a practise seen in this country but widely used in the states.

Now..... and here is the thing about this:

Under the GDPR laws they are not allowed to keep data on any database without good reason. What reason have they got to store it or distribute it.

ICO time.

I just sent them this:-

It has been brought to my attention that you are holding information on a server or computer system without my knowledge or consent.

What cause do you have to hold this information?

I shall be contacting the Information Commissioners Office if this is not removed within 14 days...

The point I am making about it being more than one year since my old bill expired and my new bill is halfway through, is that for any reason all data must be deleted after one year max of it no longer being required without good cause.
