Cyclists were photographed riding extremely close together through Regents Park in London, in complete defiance of Boris Johnson telling Britain “it is essential to stay indoors this weekend and maintain coronavirus lockdown”.
Dozens of 'Middle-Aged Men in Lycra' (MAMILs) congregated in Regent's Park to ride their bicycles in large groups, ignoring the Government's Covid-19 lockdown.
Also, over in Paddington recreation ground, keep fit fans were photographed training... again ignoring social distancing rules.
This follows Boris Johnson’s plea last night, for Britons to cancel their Easter half term getaway...amid fears the sunny weather and drop in fuel prices will jeopardise the lockdown.
Just hours after the Prime ministers plea, dozens of MAMIL cyclists were spotted riding in close proximity in London's Regent's Park.
Met Police chiefs have warned that people breaching the coronavirus lockdown rules face being fined. But as we all know, cyclists appear to be exempted from laws everyone else has to obey.
Officials now fear that thousands of families will ignore the Government lockdown, and head to the seaside at the end of next week
