The chairman of the Warwickshire-headquartered company famous for its London black taxis has stepped down.
Carl-Peter Forster, who joined London EV Company (LEVC) in February 2015, is to remain an automotive adviser to its Chinese owner, Geely.
Before taking on the role, Forster was a senior advisor to Geely, and a member of the board of both Volvo Cars Corporation and Geely Automobile Holdings since 2013.
He has held senior leadership positions at the likes of BMW, GM Europe where he was in charge of Opel and Saab operations, as well as Tata Motors where, as global group chief executive, he was also responsible for the Jaguar Land Rover business, from 2010 to 2011.
At the start of July, documents revealed that the company's turnover reached almost £80m during its latest financial year but that it made a pre-tax loss of £96.1m.
His replacement has not yet been announced by LEVC.

Instead of all the political mayrol point scoring that has taken place over sadiq Kahn's reign, why didnt the completely in-experienced fools who decide taxi policies at tfl allow Levc the time neccessary to develope a true taxi product based on driver willingness to shift from a diesel vehicle to a comparable electric vehicle.
Instead, we now have Tfl trying to force drivers by reducing ages limits on current vehicles rather than removing age limits completely on new electric vehicles to give sales a needed boost whilst manufacturers strive to move on to completely electric alternatives and gradually phase out current models without later penalties.
Tfl and all political decision makers are temporary and inexperienced blockers of true unbiased customers free trade and blight proper sales movement and direction by causing trade resentment.
It could be said that they really couldnt care less because they are on the receiving end of licensing funds either way, If the LEVC goes under the only vehicle which is identifiable exclusive to our trade disappears with it which is why it should never be forgotten as to why the previous euro 6 tx4 was withdrawn far too soon whilst licensing a bus company to run euro 6 vehicles to effectively compete against others.
TFL staff come and go as does the the mayor but the current policies are so contentious and questionable always remember you always have a vote, So when elections are due (and by the sound of it one is right around the corner) as an ex london mayor has ultimate ambitions, he should be reminded of how he left things with us and not forgetting next may when we have a chance of ridding ourselves of this current and awful mayor once and for all.
Be Lucky
